2017 Distinction in Mentorship Awards

November 9th, 2017 will mark the 3rd time that the New Brunswick construction sector has come together to celebrate on-the-job mentorship and it's critical role in the development of the future of our workforce. At NB-MAP's 2016 Distinction in Mentorship Gala we presented four awards: the Master Mentor, Outstanding Apprentice and 2 Industry Champions Under 100 employees & Under 100 employees) . In accordance with our selection process, the Industry Champion award recipients will be identified by the NB-MAP team; the Master Mentor and Outstanding Apprentice recipients will be selected by nomination from industry (see below for details and nomination forms).

 

Master Mentor:

Nominated by you, the Master Mentor will have made an outstanding contribution to the development and promotion of apprenticeship training for skilled trades in New Brunswick. You can learn more about the award selection criteria, and nominate a Master Mentor here.

 

Outstanding Apprentice:

Nominated by you, the Outstanding Apprentice goes above and beyond the norm in his or her dedication to their trade and their apprenticeship. You can learn more about the award selection criteria, and nominate an Outstanding Apprentice here.

 

Industry Champion, over 100 employees:

Awarded by the NB-MAP Team to an organization with more than 100 employees, this recognition is awarded to an organization that demonstrates superior leadership in creating a workplace learning culture, supporting their journeypersons through effective mentor training, investing in apprenticeship and emphasizing the importance of mentoring on-the-job. The NBMAP Industry Champion sets the standard for industry excellence in workplace teaching and learning.

 

Industry Champion, under 100 employees:

Awarded by the NB-MAP Team to an organization with less than 100 employees, this recognition is awarded to an organization that demonstrates superior leadership in creating a workplace learning culture, supporting their journeypersons through effective mentor training, investing in apprenticeship and emphasizing the importance of mentoring on-the-job. The NBMAP Industry Champion sets the standard for industry excellence in workplace teaching and learning.
